  BOARD MEETING MINUTES

10 SEPTEMBER 2026

Meeting called to order by President Dallmann at 6:33PM CDT

Roll Call (Secretary Hubbard)

 Members present: Dallmann, Larson, Hodge, Hubbard, Hailstone, Wilaby 

 Member absent: Myckelby

Guest:  Linda Dahlen also present            

1.President’s Report: (Dallmann)

a.      Review Meeting Agenda

b.      Introduce our tax accountant, Linda Dahlen

2.      Secretary Report: (Hubbard)

a.      Presented minutes from Spring Membership Meeting

i.Motion to approve minutes made by Hailstone, seconded by Hodge; passed unanimously.

b.      Provide update meeting minutes posted to the website

3.      Treasurer Report (Hodge)

a.      Bank Balances

i.       Checking: $11,425.12 (as of 9-3-26)

ii.      Savings: $12,504.06 (as of 9-3-26)

b.      Review of 2026 budgets, P&L, and Treasure Report 

i.          Hodge requested that our fiscal year reporting be changed to December 1st through November 30th. Motion to do so made by Hubbard, seconded by Hailstone; passed unanimously

c.      Discussion 2027 budgets. 

i.          Expect increased cost for maintenance due to algae and weed control

d.      Discuss do we pay more in 2026 to the dredging loan

i.          Proposed increasing dues by 5 percent as had been presented to membership. Motion to increase dues made by Hodge, seconded by Larson; passe unanimously. Dues for 2027 will be $336.00 for dock holders and $214 for non-dock members.

e.      Membership list is up to date.

f.       A reminder that the dredging loan ballons in March 2028

4.      Welcome Committee Report (Ron)

a.      New members Update

i.          Six new memberships in 2026 to date

5.      Dock Committee Report (Wilaby)

a.      Currently there are three open dock spaces

b.      The Board will conduct dock inspections in May

c.      Dock map is up-to-date

6.      Maintenance Committee Report (Dallmann)

a.      Maintenance, Lawn Mowing, Weed Whacking, Crew for 2026

i.       Keith J, Jim B, Rick V, Chuck Q, Russ C 

b.      Need someone to replace Keith Jensen when he sells his house

c.      Flower Bed and Flagpole duties 

i.       Chuck doing the flower bed

ii.      Jim Butler is in charge of the flag. 

d.      Burn pile update (Ron)

e.      We removed one beaver this year

f.       Kevin to check with Angie to see if she will do passes for 2027. Going to see if she is good people coming to her store to pick up passes if they didn’t receive.

g.      Getting quote from Adams for weed treatment in the spring. A lot of dandelions.  

h.      Channel weed management. Going to look into weed roller for next year. Around $200

i.       Dallmann will pull burn permit for this fall.

7.      OLD Business

a.         Allyson has updated the website. Also added membership list with addresses

b.         Need to get a quote from PLW on water treatment for allege 

c.          Tee shirt order update, orders already placed will be delivered at next Membership meeting. The search continues for a permanent source

d.         Proposed new By Laws were distributed and discussed. Dallmann has asked that all members review proposal and send comments to Hubbard. Hoping to reach agreement yet this Fall!

e.         Hodge has requested that we make an additional principal payment in the amount of $5,250. Motion to do so made by Larson, seconded by Hailstone; passed unanimously

8.      New Business

a.      2027 Proposed Dates 

i.       Board meeting Feb 10th 6:30pm CST

ii.      Spring meeting Saturday, June 5th 11:00am 

iii.    4th of July parade Saturday, July 3rd 11:00am iv. Fall meeting Saturday, September 11th 11:00am

b.      Trim tree branches at the entrance of the marina in order to see the signs on both sides

c.      Board reviewed Article Two, Section 2: of the Bylaws and added the following verbiage.  Docks are not available to members whose property is on the Channel, specifically lots 1 through 18 of Block One, Malone Island

       First motion by Larson, Second By Dallmann. All Approved. 

d.      Review board election process

i.       Secretary Initiates President vote

ii.      President Initiates Vice President votes

iii.    President Initiates Secretary Votes iv. President Initiates Treasure Votes

v. President Initiates Trustee Votes 

Motion to Adjourn made by Hodge, seconded by Hailstone; approved unanimously
